Church Services

Cassette recordings are made for most of our services. If you know someone who is no longer able to come to Church and would like to listen to our services, please speak to one of the Stewards. In addition an induction loop is installed in the church and hearing aid users should switch to the T setting.

We no longer take an offering during services. Instead the collection plates are at the back of the church by the central folding doors. Please give your offering before the service. Any late offerings can be placed in the plates afterwards.

This is a special year in the history of the church when we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Operation New Look which transformed the church from an antiquated chapel into today's modern building. Each Sunday morning the creche and Sunday club are open for young people up to the age of 15 years, except the morning of All Age Worship, when the youngsters are able to be with their parents for the service. In addition our services are currently being recorded and the "experimental" tapes are available. Anyone wanting to borrow one, or who knows of someone unable to attend church who would like to use this facility, should contact a steward.

Shoppers' Coffee is held each Saturday morning from 10 a.m until midday. Also each Monday between 10 a.m and midday, the Coffee "Shop" is open at the Church. Why not call in for a cup of tea or coffee (or soft drinks) and a chat. All are welcome.

Other Events Held at the Methodist Church

Mondays Chimes Pre-School music group meets in term time for children aged from nine months. There are two sessions - 10 to 10.30 and 10.30 to 11 a.m.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays Kinds Kung Fu Club meets on Tuesdays from 4.30 to 5.15 p.m and on Wednesdays from 4 to 4.45 p.m.
Thursdays 19.00 Taichi Chuan martial arts group meets on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8.30 p.m
